about

My story

Já conhece os meus serviços, áreas de trabalho e alguns dos meus clientes. O que provavelmente ainda não sabe é que vivo no Porto, faço voluntariado e gosto imenso de viajar. Curioso?

I was born in Carregosa when the Escudo was still in circulation. My special taste for foreign languages started at a young age and is still with me today. When I was little, I remember asking my aunt and uncle, who had emigrated to Germany, as well as my older brother, to repeat words in German or French to me. And I would proudly tell everyone that I’d brought das Brot for lunch or tell my school friends to“ferme la porte. This fascination for languages led me to my chosen profession, one that’s been a pleasure to work in for over 15 years. I’ve studied several languages along the way, including Russian and Italian, although I specialise in English and Spanish.

Volunteering is also an important part of my life. I had the rewarding opportunity to go to São Tomé in 2008 - through the Casa Fiz do Mundo project - and where I took part in several humanitarian actions. I discovered a totally different world to the one I live in. Despite the misery, I also saw warm and sincere smiles that lured me back in 2010.

But the volunteering didn’t stop there. I help with a project to support the most disadvantaged communities on a weekly basis. Apart from serving a plate of food, what I most enjoy is offering a friendly gaze, a cheerful smile and a few words of solidarity.

I’ve travelled to Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, Granada, Cordoba, Vigo, Santiago de Compostela, Bilbao; Paris; Strasbourg; Vevey; Budapest; Vienna; Bratislava; Amsterdam; London; Milan; Rio de Janeiro; São Tomé… and I still have a whole world to see.

Soft Skills

A good professional will also possess valuable personal and social skills, as well as hard skills. What I have to offer goes way beyond knowledge itself.

I tackle challenging projects that require a range of non-technical skills every day. Indeed, the success of a project also depends on the ability to meet the specified deadline or to clearly understand the client’s intention with regards to a specific text. My approach is to offer a package of both personal and professional skills, ensuring an efficient working process aimed at guaranteeing total client satisfaction.
